Steve & Lynne Bussey Scholarship
The estate of Steve Bussey and his parent's has asked that anyone who wishes to honor Steve who tragically died in a plane crash in the summer of 2006 make a donation to the endowment they created at Georgia Tech. The endowment is for scholarships to encourage students to attend Steve's Alma Mater, Georgia Tech.
The Bussey fund was originally created to honor the memory of
Steve's sister, S. Lynne Bussey. Steve Bussey oversaw the awarding of
scholarships as the Scholarship Chairman of the Space Coast
Georgia Tech Club. Since Georgia Tech was such an important part of
Steve's life, his family decided to add his name to
the endowment
at Georgia Tech memorializing both Steve and Lynne.
After the deaths of Steve's parents, Walter and Linda, the Bussey
estate gave enough to the Georgia Tech Foundation in the current
endowment and another one to fund every year one 4 year merit scholarship
of up to 50% of out of state tuition and fees and much more for need based scholarships.
